Brookside Gardens To Host “The Recycled Garden”

Brookside Gardens in Wheaton will host a virtual event, “The Recycled Garden,” on Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event will feature author of “Big Dreams, Small Garden: A Guide to Creating Something Extraordinary in Your Ordinary Space” and garden columnist Marianne Wilburn.

Throughout the event, individuals will have the opportunity to explore new elements that will enhance the beauty of their gardens.

The Brookside Gardens website states, “Repurposed items can create whimsy in your garden, but they can also save money and make your garden unique. It is time to train your eye to see the treasure in trash from cast off chairs to the remnants of a building project, and use those resources to help you create something fabulous in an increasingly cookie-cutter world. You will learn practical steps to create fun garden art like elegant grapevine spheres from potting shed finds.”

The program is directed for those over the age of 18. The cost for the event is $10 per person. Members of Friends of Brookside Gardens will receive a 20% discount.

Although this is an online event, spaces are limited. Individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Reserve your spot today! https://apm.activecommunities.com/montgomerycounty/Activity_Search/the-recycled-garden/74699
