Brookeville Beer Farm Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting (VIDEOS & PHOTOS)
Montgomery County officials and residents celebrated the grand opening of Brookeville Beer Farm on Sept. 16. The farm is located at 20315 Georgia Ave. and includes various beers on tap for customers to enjoy. The farm also hosts food trucks and features live music. MyMCMedia’s Maureen Chowdhury reports.
According to Phil Muth, president of the Brookeville Beer Farm business, he and his partners began building the farm in 2014.
“It started pretty simply. I just put some hops in the ground, I saw the bill that changed (the Maryland Farm Brewery Bill), I started pursuing the licenses and I had momentum, Montgomery County was behind us and supported us. I talked to different politicians and the office of zoning…and we pursued it and we got it open this past July and we’re six weeks operating and had our grand opening now and ribbon cutting and I’m thrilled,” Muth said.
