Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The Montgomery County Council on Oct. 15 declared October ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ in the County.
At the ceremonies in Rockville, Councilmember Nancy Floreen—who is a breast cancer survivor—and Councilmembers Craig Rice, Nancy Navarro and Hans Riemer—who have all been personally impacted by breast cancer in their families—were joined by members of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.
Many County firefighters are wearing pink attire while on the job in October to bring attention to the fight against the disease.
