Boyds School Serves as Backdrop for Panel on Voting Rights (Video)

The Boyds School in Montgomery County served as the backdrop for an event that brought political leaders and experts together to discuss the history and future of voting rights in America in honor of Black History Month.

The one room building was the only school for African-American children in the area from 1895 to 1936. During a recent panel moderated by Congressman John Delaney he said the school was a reminder of past struggles in the country’s history.
