Bomb Threat Reported At Magruder High School

The Montgomery County Police Department are investigating a bomb threat made to Magruder High School.

A police search with the help of K-9 units  determined it was not necessary to evacuate the students and staff.

The school is located at 5939 Muncaster Mill Road.

Schedule of events, according to Spokesperson for Montgomery County Public Schools Melissa Rivera:

9:14 am Police Communication received a call stating there was a bomb in Magruder High School. The caller then hung. Police are enroute to the school and Field Security Cluster Coordinator is enroute. At this time security is considering this as a low level threat and are not evacuating. OSSI will update.

Update 9:20 am: Police are bringing K9s in for a building search.

Update 9:40am: Police responded and did a sweep of the building and building exterior. Police determined it was not necessary to evacuate the students and staff.

Police are working to determine who made the threat.
