robertfrostPrincipal Joey Jones and the staff and students of Robert Frost Middle School in Rockville were honored on Nov. 12 by the Montgomery County Council after the was school was one of six public schools in Maryland—and one of 286 nationwide—selected as Blue Ribbon Schools this year.

The school was honored for its outstanding academic achievement, its leadership and its professional development and instructional programs.

At the ceremonies, Principal Jones talked of the shared commitment between the students, staff, administrators and parents. Councilmembers Phil Andrews (left) and Valerie Ervin presented a proclamation on behalf of the Council.

Darryl Williams, an associate superintendent for Montgomery County Public Schools, also attended the ceremonies.
