BlackRock’s Kay Gallery Features Turned Wood Exhibit

There’s just a few weeks left to witness the work of 53 contemporary artists and fine craft artisans who are featured in BlackRock Center for the Arts newest exhibit titled “HANDCRAFTED: Fiber Art & Turned Wood.”

The exhibit, located in the center’s Kay Gallery, is the first regional juried exhibition that features turned wood, according to Anne Burton, gallery director, for BlackRock Center for the Arts.

“We’ve featured the turned wood pieces in addition to the fiber art pieces combined in one exhibit,” Burton said. “In the center of the gallery we have 38 turned wood pieces and on the perimeter, we have the work of 16 fiber artists with 24 pieces on display.”

Find out what else makes BlackRock’s latest exhibit unique in the video below:

The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 24.
