Black Lives Matter Poster Vandalized in Silver Spring
It’s the fourth time that a Black Lives Matter poster that sits outside of Christ Congregational Church UCC in Silver Spring has been vandalized so church leaders are organizing a news conference on Friday to support those who feel victimized.
“We are letting the community know that we will not tolerate such activities in our community and the intimidation it represents will not be tolerated,” said Jeffrey Thames, president, Hope Restored, Inc.
Thames says the latest vandalism occurred on election night and has some residents afraid that after a divisive presidential campaign, destroying the poster validates a message of exclusion and hate.
A news conference will be held at Christ Congregational Church on Friday, Nov. 11 at 10:00 a.m.
News Conference Location:
Christ Congregational Church
9525 Colesville Rd

Not everything is terrorism. Sometimes its just someone being stupid. Who did this did not leave any menacing messages behind so it just sound a person who improperly expressing a view. I would be scared of the people who were looting and rioting on election night.
