Black Friday Savings Guide

Balck Friday Shopping crowdBlack Friday is just around the corner and many stores have released a list of door buster deals and sales. While the deals look great on paper, are consumers really saving as much as they think?

According to a report recently released by WalletHub 63 percent of American consumers say that Black Friday doesn’t offer the best deals of the year. So, the WalletHub research team looked into a broad selection of items and compared the “Pre-Black Friday Price” to the “Black Friday Price,” to find out products offered the best deal.

Researchers found that 68 percent of items listed for discounts on Black Friday will have “significant” discount, meaning products will be marked down 10 percent or more. At the same time, 14 percent of items will be priced the same as “Pre-Black Friday,” and 17 percent of items will be more expensive than on Black Friday or on Amazon.com.

The most discounted items include books, movies, and music with savings of 28%. While Jewelry offers very limited savings at 4 percent. Below is a list of products, categorized by savings potential.
