Biking in Maryland

Our very own resident here at Ingleside at King Farm, Bob Youker, was profiled in Rails to Trails, a nonprofit that transforms unused rail corridors to trails fostering a sense of healthy people and communities.

Youker began biking at an early age. However, before becoming an avid biker, he actively participated in group whitewater canoeing. Biking became a preferred method of exercise for him for various reasons, including the convenience of local trails. In his tenure, he has biked on over 170 trails in 20 states and Canada, including the C&O Canal Towpath and the Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail. He also bikes over 10 miles two to three times a week and has recently developed a strong liking for the trike bike.
