Bike Share Program Launches in Montgomery Parks

Maryland Parks has partnered with Zagster, Inc., to launch a bike share program to connect visitors with trails, amenities and nature.
The program launched earlier this week with bike stations at Black Hill Regional Park and Wheaton Regional Park, according to a news release.
“There are some fantastic paved trails at these parks and through this partnership with Zagster people can simply grab a bike and go,” Casey Anderson, chair of the Montgomery County Planning Board, said in a statement. “What a great way to experience the outdoors; plus the first two hours are free.”
Zagster’s bikes feature eight gears, automatic lights, a bell and a front basket.
There are five bikes at each location including an accessible tricycle at the Wheaton Regional Park.
In order to participate in the bike share program with Montgomery Parks, riders much download the Zagster app to enroll.
Rides under two hours are free and $3 per hour to continue using the bikes.
