Berliner’s Press Conference (Video)

Montgomery County Council President Roger Berliner began his July 30 press conference by calling a recent transportation meeting with Fairfax a “total success.” He then mentioned a recent report by Forbes magazine identifying Bethesda (the district he represents) one of the coolest places to live in the country. Berliner then fielded questions on a wide variety of topics, including: Pepco’s storm report, why he pulled Bill 19-12 off the Council’s July 31 agenda, the county’s response to the June 29 storm, the Gaithersburg annexation request on the Council’s agenda, millions being spent to replace buses and the latest on tree legislation. He ended the press conference with a look at some of the issues that are going to come up after the Council’s August recess. Take a look.
