A basketball skills clinic for children and teens is scheduled for June 23-27 on the campus of Washington Adventist University (WAU), located at 7600 Flower Avenue in suburban Takoma Park. The skills clinic is open to boys and girls, ages 6-16, and it will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Leading the skills clinic will be WAU Head Coach Patrick E. Crarey II, who coached the Washington Adventist Shock basketball team to victory in the 2014 United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship (NCAA Division II) tournament. The clinic will include ball handling, dribbling and shooting, along with good sportsmanship, teamwork and the value of fair play. Each participant will receive individual interest and attention, regardless of their ability on the court. To date, more than 100 young people have benefited from Coach Crarey’s skills clinics in the past three years

The cost to participate is $200, and it includes a clinic t-shirt and a certificate. All campers must register and submit payment by Monday, June 23.
