Backpack Report: Dr. Alan Cheung

My name is Emma Bassett, and during Spring Break this year I attended the Montgomery Community Media Backpack Journalism week-long program. During this program, I interviewed Dr. Alan Cheung, who currently lives at Ingleside Communities in Rockville, MD. Dr. Cheung has a fascinating life and story. He has become an active contributor to society in Montgomery County, which is a huge change from when he attended a strict, all-boys school in Hong Kong. The move to America was difficult and burdensome, but he never lost his belief in giving back to society as much as you take from it. In this program I learned how to create a storyboard, edit clips and film videos. I am so glad for this experience, including meeting Dr. Alan Cheung and taking this class. Thanks Montgomery Community Media!
