Asian Pacific American Group Hosts Poster Contest for MCPS Students

The Asian Pacific American Student Achievement Action Group (APASAAG) is hosting a poster contest for Montgomery County Public Schools students. Students are asked to demonstrate the courage of the AAPI community through their artwork and may include notable historical or current events and stories around them.

The contest comes shortly before the month of May, designated as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Posters must be submitted by April 18 to apasaagmcps@gmail.com. Students must also complete an application form and consent form. Entries will be judged by community art and art performance professionals.

The first place winner will receive $100, the second place winner will receive $75 and the third place winner will receive $50. Winners will be selected from each of the elementary, middle and high school categories.

For more information, individuals can visit the APASAAG website.
