ArtStream Performs at Olney Theatre

The Gaithersburg Inclusive Theatre Companies of ArtStream present four performances of two musical plays at Olney Theatre on May 9 – May 11. The two comedies feature actors with and without intellectual disabilities. GOLDFALL, an epic adventure in the James Bond tradition, and One Love to Give: A Knot Tied Twice, an over the top soap opera style love story, feature actors with and without intellectual disabilities. Olney Theatre is located at 2001 Olney Sandy Spring Rd in Olney.

GOLDFALL follows two spies as they jump aboard the train for Turkey, Ireland and a mysterious island. There is an international gold smuggling ring controlled by mermaids, chase scenes, a Turkish dance and an Irish jig as well as a haunting mermaid chant. Will our two spies ever get a real vacation? Find out in this delightful comedy you won’t want to miss.

In One Love To Give: A Knot Tied Twice, you are cordially invited to the Elmcroft-Kingfisher union. A beautiful bride and anxious groom expect to have the perfect society wedding until an unexpected guest arrives. Join family and friends as the epic story unfolds.

ArtStream Inc., a DC-area non-profit, has developed an innovative process for actors with and without disabilities to collaborate on creating fully produced original plays and musicals. ArtStream and its Gaithersburg Inclusive Theatre Company directors write scripts and music for the two one-acts based on ideas and characters generated by the actors. ArtStream productions are tailored to showcase each actor’s unique talents.
