Arrests and incidents from recent Rockville City Police crime summaries.

Arrests

On Aug. 28 between 7:30 p.m. and 8:05 p.m., a 22-year-old man was arrested for theft after an incident in the unit block of Maryland Avenue.

On Aug. 28 between 7:20 p.m. and 11:15 p.m., a 45-year-old man was arrested for malicious destruction of property, second-degree assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest after an incident in the 1700 block of Rockville Pike.

On Sept. 2 between 12:30 a.m. and 12:42 a.m., a 26-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault, trespassing, public intoxication and disorderly conduct after an incident in the 100 block of Gibbs Street.

On Sept. 2 between 5:37 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., a 39-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and failure to obey a lawful order after an incident in the 2100 block of Veirs Mill Road.

On Sept. 3 at 1:26 a.m., a 29-year-old man was arrested for failure to identify oneself, resisting arrest, second-degree assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing and hindering a police investigation after an incident near Ridgemont Avenue and Elmcroft Boulevard.

On Aug. 28 between 7:30 p.m. and 8:05 p.m., a 22-year-old man was arrested for theft after an incident in the unit block of Maryland Avenue.

On Sept. 2 between 12:30 a.m. and 12:42 a.m., a 26-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault, trespassing, public intoxication and disorderly conduct after an incident in the 100 block of Gibbs Street.

On Sept. 2 between 5:37 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., a 39-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and failure to obey a lawful order after an incident in the 2100 block of Veirs Mill Road.

On Sept. 3 at 1:26 a.m., a 29-year-old man was arrested for failure to identify oneself, resisting arrest, second-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing and hindering a police investigation after an incident near the intersection of Ridgemont Avenue and Elmcroft Boulevard.

On Sept. 2, two men, ages 22 and 35, were arrested for second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and conspiracy to commit malicious destruction of property after an earlier incident Aug. 27 in the 400 block of Lincoln Street.

On Sept. 4, a request was submitted to the Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Victims Investigation Division for a 16-year-old boy to be charged with possession with intent to distribution CDS-marijuana, possession of CDS-marijuana packaging materials, possession of CDS-marijuana, and possession of CDS-paraphernalia, after an incident in the 5900 block of Ridgway Avenue.

On Sept. 5, a request was submitted to the Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Victims Investigation Division for a 16-year-old boy to be charged with possession of a concealed dangerous weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property (two knives) after an incident in the 200 block of Richard Montgomery Drive.

On Sept. 5, a request was submitted to the Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Victims Investigation Division for a 16-year-old boy to be charged with three counts of theft after an incident in the 600 block of Azalea Drive.

On Sept. 6, a 37-year-old man was arrested for possession of CDS-paraphernalia after an incident in the unit block of Research Court.

On Sept. 7, a 26-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property, and trespassing after an incident in the 100 block of England Terrace.

Incidents

400 block of Lincoln Street, two men gained entry by prying a front door open at a business Aug. 27 between 4:23 a.m. and 4:25 a.m. Once inside one man removed cigarettes, lottery tickets, cash and a cash register. Both men were described as 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds; both were wearing black pants and gray sweatshirts. One man was last seen wearing white gloves and a gray hat. The other man was last seen wearing white/black gloves and a black hat.

700 block of Carr Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed four hubcaps from a vehicle between 8:31 a.m. Aug. 28 and 9:46 a.m. Aug. 30.

1400 block of Research Boulevard, someone tried to gain entry by removing a screen from a window at a construction trailer Aug. 27 between 12 p.m. and 12:22 p.m. No entry was made.

1600 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that two women entered the business Aug. 28 between 12:20 p.m. and 12:25 p.m. The women walked around the store removing cosmetic items and placed them into their bags. An employee tried to stop the women when they tried to leave the store. One woman struck the employee and both women fled and got into a vehicle. Both women are 5 feet 5 inches tall and both have black cornrows/braids. One was 150 pounds; the other was 125 pounds.

1600 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that a man entered the business Aug. 28 between 12:30 p.m. and 12:38 p.m. The man removed several pairs of sunglasses from a display rack and placed them in his pants. The man left the store without making payment for the items. The man is described as 18-25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 10 inches tall, 155-165 pounds, very short hair, and last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, black sneakers and a black baseball cap with “True Religion” on the front.

Unit block of Stevenage Circle, the complainant reported that someone removed a purse containing cash, credit cards and a driver’s license from an unlocked vehicle Aug. 28 between 12:50 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

1000 block of Seven Locks Road, the complainant reported that two men entered a business Aug. 29 between 6:24 p.m. and 6:29 p.m. The men walked up to a locked display case, picked the lock and removed several high-end cosmetic items. The men placed the items into a bag and left the store without paying for the items. One man was described as 200 pounds, heavy build, short black hair, mustache and last seen wearing black pants, black sweatshirt and a gray shirt. The other man had a thin build last seen wearing black sneakers, gray pants, black sweater and a black backpack.

600 block of Blandford Street, the complainant reported that someone removed a telescope, loose change and a jacket from an unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. Aug. 30 and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 31.

1900 block of Stanley Avenue, the complainant reported that a man entered a home by unknown means Aug. 31 at 10:30 p.m. Once inside, the man went to a downstairs bedroom. The complainant sensing someone was in the room, woke up and screamed. The man then fled. The man is described as 5 feet 7 inches, 170 pounds, black hair and last seen wearing black pants and a black shirt.

100 block of New Mark Esplanade, the complainant reported that someone removed a pair of hearing aids with case from an unlocked vehicle between 5 p.m. Aug. 30 and 6 p.m. Aug. 31.

500 block of Elmcroft Boulevard, a man gained entry by forcing open a window to a vacant apartment between 5 p.m. Aug. 31 and 11:15 a.m. Sept. 2. Nothing was taken. The man was described as 5 feet 10 inches, brown eyes, black hair, light brown skin tone, and last seen wearing blue jeans, and a red “True Religion” T-shirt.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed a cell phone from an unsecured charging station locker on Sept. 1 between 9:10 a.m. and 9:42 a.m.

1600 block of Gruenther Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed a backpack from an unlocked vehicle between 8 p.m. Sept. 1 and 11 a.m. Sept. 2.

700 block of Hungerford Drive, the complainant reported that a man entered a business and removed cash from a locked office on Sept. 2 between 4:55 p.m. and 4:58 p.m. A review of video surveillance shows the man walking down a hallway and entering the restroom. A short time later, he exits the restroom and tries the door to the locked office. The man then used an unknown object to pick the lock and enters the office. A few moments later the man reappears and leaves the business. The man was described as last seen wearing black Nike sneakers, dark-colored pants, dark-colored jacket, white shirt and dark-colored baseball cap with a white logo.

13900 block of Glen Mill Road, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended cell phone from a counter on Sept. 3 between 6 p.m. and 6:50 p.m.

1600 block of East Jefferson Street, three men gained entry into an apartment clubhouse by unknown means between 7 a.m. Sept. 5 and 8 a.m. Sept. 8. Nothing was taken. Two men were described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, 195 pounds, medium build, brown eyes, short black hair and medium skin tone. One man was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt. The other man was wearing black pants and a blue T-shirt. The third man was 5 feet 1 inch tall, 125 pounds, thin build, blue eyes, blond medium length hair, light skin tone and last seen wearing black shorts and a gray shirt.

12200 block of Tildenwood Drive, the complainant reported that during a home renovation, someone removed cash from the home between April 23 and May 22. The incident was not reported to the police until Sept. 7.

North Washington Street and East Middle Lane, the complainant was going to meet a subject to sell her cell phone on Sept. 2 at 11:57 a.m. As the complainant approached the agreed-upon meeting location, an unknown man grabbed the cell phone out of her hand. The man is described as 6 feet 2 inches, 170 pounds and last seen wearing white sneakers with red and blue markings, blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

1000 block of Grandin Avenue, an unknown subject entered a shed by unknown means Sept. 10 at 3:30 a.m. Nothing was taken. A review of the video shows the man was wearing a puffy winter coat with dark-colored shoulders and a beanie style hat.

1500 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that four women entered a business on Sept. 7 between 2:08 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. The women removed several items and then left the store without paying for them. One was was described as 5 feet 5 inches, 250 pounds, heavy build, black cornrows/braids, medium brown skin tone and last seen wearing a black Nirvana T-shirt, blue jeans and blue jacket. One woman 5 feet 5 inches, 200 pounds, heavy build, light brown skin tone and last seen wearing a white sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black baseball cap. One woman 5 feet 2 inches, 140 pounds, medium build, collar length medium hair, medium skin tone and last seen wearing pink pants and a black blouse. One woman was 5 feet 2 inches, 145 pounds, medium build, long black hair, medium brown skin tone and last seen wearing a pink shirt, and a blue jacket.

1500 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that a man entered the business Sept. 7 between 8:08 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. The man removed two cell phone batteries and a security box and then left the store without paying for the items. The man is described had a black Afro, mustache and goatee, and was last seen wearing white sneakers and a green jacket.

100 block of Moore Drive, the complainant reported that she was at home on Sept. 7 between 11:20 a.m. and 11:28 a.m. She sensed someone was behind her and when she turned to look, she recognized a known subject who did not have permission to be in the home. The woman displayed a handgun and proceeded to go through the house. The woman removed personal documents and then left the home in a vehicle. The woman was known to the complainant.
