Area’s Top Elected Leaders To Huddle on Shutdown
The top elected officials in metropolitan Washington’s largest jurisdictions will meet to discuss the local impact of the shutdown and strategies to help local governments and residents on Oct. 16 in Washington, D.C.
Now in its third week, the shutdown is having a devastating impact on hundreds of thousands of federal employees in metropolitan Washington, as well as local businesses and governments.
Those scheduled to attend the meeting, include:
- Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett
- District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray
- Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Sharon Bulova
- Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker
