Montgomery County residents seeking a permit for a deck will able to do so online starting September 3. The Department of Permitting Services (DPS) website provides residents with the ability to apply to a limited set of permits and licenses online. When you visit the website, residents will be able to apply, upload documents, pay for and print permits without visiting the DPS office.

DPS provides the Residential Deck Details packet for residents to use when planning and seeking a permit for a deck.

Residents will be prompted to create a customer account when using the new service. Residents are advised to call 311 in Montgomery County or 240.777.0311 outside of Montgomery County with questions while using the service. Questions may also be submitted to the MC311 web portal.
