Andrea McCarren’s Media Training Class (Photos)

Veteran broadcast journalist Andrea McCarren led her fourth media training class at Montgomery Community Media on Dec. 7.

The students taking her class included a lawyer, a clinical psychologist, an aspiring sports reporter, a few CEOs and small business owners/entrepreneurs, the head of the world languages department at a Montgomery County high school and award-winning Latin dance team coach, and the head of an organization that uses artwork to heal children.

“A great group,” said McCarren, who also works as a television reporter for WUSA-TV.

McCarren’s media training class is designed for anyone who wants to appear on-air or in a video.

During the class, McCarren tells her students that having a video to promote your work is as important today as having a business card.
