Gandhi Brigade is a nonprofit located in City Place Mall, Silver Spring. Gandhi Brigade coaches teens and young adults to use video and graphic arts to explore a variety of social issues. Their “Just Us Youth! Media Festival” on May 11 was sponsored by Comcast and included a juried film competition, an awards ceremony, film screening, four-hour film competition, workshops and outdoor entertainment. Three teams competed in the four-hour film competition. They arrived at the festival ready to create a Public Service Announcement (PSA) on a topic they drew out of a hat. The teams then had four hours to plan, film and edit their PSA. Take a look at their films.
