Alzheimer’s Awareness Month (Photos)

The Montgomery County Council on Nov. 5 urged all County residents to be aware of the many older adults who are suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease and the devoted attention provided by their caregivers by declaring November as Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.

Alzheimer’s Disease currently afflicts more than five million Americans.

At the ceremonies in Rockville were, left to right: Sunny Grunder of Leisure World; County Councilmember George Leventhal, who chairs the Council’s Health and Human Services Committee; Kathy Weber of the Holy Cross Resource Center; and Elinor Ginzler of the Jewish Council for the Aging’s Misler Adult Day Care Center.
