After School Programs Available in Rockville

Before and after school programs are offered at Rockville Community Centers through the Recreation Services Division. Programs for elementary school children may be found at both Lincoln Park and Twinbrook community centers. Thomas Farm and Twinbrook offer programs for teens. Registration is now open online at RockEnroll.

Here is a list of the programs:
Early Birds (Twinbrook Community Recreation Center, 12920 Twinbrook Pkwy.)
Computer lab, crafts, organized games and other enrichment activities are offered at this supervised morning program. Transportation provided to Meadow Hall and Twinbrook elementary schools. Closed on MCPS non-school days. Optional daily drop-in fee of
$10 available. Ages 5 – 11.

After School Adventure (Twinbrook Community Recreation Center)
Computer lab, crafts, organized games and other enrichment activities are offered at this supervised morning program. Transportation provided to Meadow Hall and Twinbrook elementary schools. Closed on MCPS non-school or early release days. Ages 5 – 11.

Teen Lounge (Twinbrook Community Recreation Center)
Enjoy computers with Internet access, sports, table tennis, computer games, field trips, craft projects, enrichment clubs and, of course, homework time. Daily attendance is encouraged but not required. Transportation provided from Wood and Julius West middle schools. Closed on MCPS non-school days; open on half days from noon to 6:30 p.m. Grades: 6-8.

Clubhouse (Lincoln Park Community Center, 357 Frederick Ave.)
This drop-in after school program includes homework time, snack, crafts and games.
Van transportation is provided from Maryvale Elementary School. All other local schools are transported by MCPS request. Field trips, special events and fitness days are held throughout the year. Closed on MCPS non-school days; open on half days. All children must be picked up by 6:30 p.m. Grades: K-5.

Totally Teens (Thomas Farm Community Center, 700 Fallsgrove Dr.)
Enjoy homework help, community service projects, sports, arts, dance, video games, ping pong, special interest clubs and more. Transportation provided from Julius West Middle School. Open on early release days. Closed on MCPS non-school days.
Grades: 5-10.
