Adventure Theatre MTC Presents The Jungle Book (Photos)
The Jungle Book runs April 4 through May 25 at Adventure Theatre in Glen Echo Park. The production is based on the adventures collected by Rudyard Kipling and brought to life on stage by Shirley Serotsky, Associate Artistic Director of Theatre J. This show is recommended for ages four and older. Orphaned in the jungle as an infant and adopted by a wolf pack, young Mowgli the man-cub is taught the Laws of the Jungle by Baloo, the bear, and Bagheera, the panther. As Mowgli discovers himself and his place as a human, the jungle’s greatest menace, the Bengal Tiger Shere Khan, prepares to finish the kill he abandoned years ago.With a multi-ethnic cast and crew creating a vibrant India-inspired jungle, this production showcases the best of D.C. area talent. All performances will take place at Adventure Theatre MTC, 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo in the historic Glen Echo Park.

Bobbitt, Producing Artistic Director at Adventure Theatre MTC says of the show, “After this cold and icy Washington, DC winter, we all could use a vibrant jungle to bring us to life again this Spring.
