Adventist Moves HQ to Gaithersburg (Photos)

Adventist HealthCare, the first and largest health system in Montgomery County, has
completed the move of its corporate headquarters to the City of Gaithersburg.

Adventist HealthCare, which had its offices on Research Boulevard in Rockville since 1996, is now located
in a building just off Interstate 270 and Clopper Road, across from the National Institute of Standards and
Technology. The new location at 820 W. Diamond Ave. allows the organization to improve office space for
its approximately 300 employees and realize savings on its current lease. Adventist HealthCare will occupy
the top three floors of the building with the Patient Financial Services department located on the fifth floor.
As part of the move, announced in January 2012, Gaithersburg contributed $160,000 in economic
development grant funding to help with renovations. A special blessing ceremony was held Tuesday, April
16, at the new headquarters for employees and Gaithersburg officials. The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council
officially designated Tuesday as Adventist HealthCare Day in the City.

Adventist HealthCare enjoys a rich history of serving Gaithersburg and the upcounty for more than 30
years. In fact, the City floated the bonds in the 1970s that helped with the construction of Shady Grove
Adventist Hospital, which opened in 1979.

Adventist HealthCare, founded in 1907, employs close to 6,000 employees in Montgomery County and is
the largest provider of charity care and community benefit in the county.
