Activity Center Exhibits Calligraphy and Brush Painting
The Chinese Calligraphy and Brush Painting exhibit is on display at the Gaithersburg Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue now through Sunday, May 19.
The exhibit features the work of the Harmonious Art Group, including works from 15 members and four guest artists. Styles of work include traditional and contemporary Chinese artworks.
On Saturday, March 30 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. the public is invited to an Artists’ Reception.
The Activity Center hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ms. Amy Quach paints in traditional Chinese style while expressing her passion through her paintings. Quach is famous for painting peonies and cats using crisp, clear and bright colors. She is also well-known for her local Chinese Art framing business. Ms. Zhao Yong Wu joined the group five years ago, and her passion and hard work creating Chinese art is expressed vividly in her recent creations.
