Accident Shuts Down Portion of I-270

Montgomery County police and fire are reporting on Twitter that several lanes of southbound I-270 between exits 8 and 9 are currently shut down because of a collision and there are several injuries.

Traffic is backing up.

Traffic Advisory – SB I270 near I370, @mcfrs on scene, heavy property damage, EMS evaluating at least 3 inj, several lanes BLOCKED

Several lanes of SB 270 between exits 9 & 8 are currently shut down due to a collision. Avoid the area.
