ABBA Tribute Band Honors Nats at Strathmore

Several hours after their victory parade in Washington DC, the Nationals received an unexpected shout out.

Saturday night at the Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, ARRIVAL from Sweden, considered the best ABBA tribute band in the world, paid homage to the Nationals winning the World Series.

The band, playing ABBA’s familiar hit songs like Mamma Mia and Dancing Queen, was accompanied by the National Philharmonic orchestra led by music director and conductor Piotr Gajewski.

For part of their encore, the band’s two lead singers donned Nats’ jerseys then broke out into their version of the team’s ubiquitous unofficial theme song, Baby Shark, to the delight of the sold out crowd.
