“A Little Night Music” on Stage at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn
In partnership with Damascus Theatre Company, the Gaithersburg Arts Barn presents a contemporary spin on a classic Stephen Sondheim musical, A Little Night Music.
The show runs Feb. 7 – 23, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Admission is $18; $16 for city of Gaithersburg residents. This show contains adult language and themes and is appropriate for those 17 and older.
Inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s comedy of manners, Smiles of a Summer Night, Sondheim creates a musical tour de force about the tangled web of affairs centered around actress Desirée Armfeldt.
Full of hilariously witty and heartbreakingly moving moments of adoration, regret and desire, this new update of A Little Night Music tells the classic story of romance, relationships, and second chances, now set in the present day. With an award-winning score, including the hit “Send in the Clowns,” this bold new production is sure to delight fans old and new.
The Gaithersburg Arts Barn is located at 311 Kent Square Road in the Kentlands community. For more information and tickets call 301.258.6394 or visit online at www.gaithersburgmd.gov.
