A Decade of Healthcare (Photos)
The Muslim Community Center Medical Clinic in Silver Spring has been providing healthcare services to anyone 18 or older without health care coverage since June of 2003. On April 9, the Montgomery County Council recognized the 10th anniversary of the organization’s determination to work with community partners to help those in need.
At the ceremonies in Rockville, from left to right, were: Council Vice President Craig Rice; Council President Nancy Navarro; Azad Ejaz of the clinic; Councilmember George Leventhal; Asif Qadri, former director of the clinic; and Safia Qadri Qureshi and Tahoora Kawaja of the clinic.
