A 9/11 Family Member Tells His Story of Survival

Eleven Montgomery County residents lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. All of them perished when American Airlines #77 hit the Pentagon. Michele Heidenberger was on board working as a senior flight attendant. Her husband, Tom Heidenberger of Chevy Chase, still mourns her loss as he reflects on the 20 years since her death.

Heidenberger and his family will not attend formal memorial services this year. Instead, they will go to mass and spend some time together remembering Michele.
