Assistance Dogs (Photos)

International Assistance Dog Week, which was created to recognize the devoted, hardworking assistance dogs helping individuals mitigate their disability related limitations, was recognized by the Montgomery County Council on July 16.

At the ceremonies in Rockville were, left to right: Charlie Crawford, vice chair of the County’s Commission on People with Disabilities, and his assistance dog Mason; Kirk Simon and Pilgrim; Council Vice President Craig Rice; and Trish Gallalee, chair of the Commission on People with Disabilities and Memphis.
