Website Headlines

It’s been a busy week for the MyMCMedia web team.

Let’s review: a tornado, a major development in the race for county executive, and the “power2give” launch, etc.

These are just a few examples of the many headlines posted on the MyMCMedia.org website and on our social media sites (Facebook and Twitter) over the last few days. In addition and as usual, the web team added several new blogs and videos, calendar events and photos to our site. Take a tour of our site and you are sure to find some interesting new posts and videos about the people, power and places in Montgomery County.

full snipStill, there’s even more to report from the web team. In fact, the biggest headline inside MCM this week is that we have moved the MyMCMedia.org site to a dedicated server. The changeover took place last week without any major glitches. What does that mean to you and me? Well, our visitors and registered users should have a more efficient experience on the site without any slowdown (or drag) and/or timeouts. I am extremely pleased with this development. Let us know if you notice a difference while perusing or posting on our site.

And, kudos to MCM’s dedicated web team (Mike Walsh, website administrator; Michelle Queen, website coordinator) for taking care of all the details and making the server switchover occur with such finesse while I was out of the office.
