C-SPAN Honors Eastern Middle School (Video)
C-SPAN public affairs TV network representatives visited Eastern Middle School in Silver Spring on May 13 to honor the winners of the 2013 StudentCam documentary competition. Secondary students from across the country were asked to submit a short documentary on the most important issue President Barack Obama should address this year. The documentaries created by Eastern students covered topics ranging from fish farming to the federal deficit. Eastern had a total of eight winners—three second place, three third place and two honorable mention—the most of any school in the nation. MCPS TV has the story.
