New Credit Offerings for MC EFCU Members

Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union (MC EFCU) now offers members a new Visa Platinum Rewards Card that features no annual fee, no balance transfer fee, no cash advance fee and includes a robust rewards program, with benefits such as a cash-back option, gift cards, merchandise and travel savings.

We were proud to have been seventh in the nation for credit card growth in 2012, among credit unions.  One thing we learned from a recent, comprehensive member survey was that our members really valued having a credit card that offered a variety of rewards. Through our research, we found that more than 35 percent of them  already had a rewards card from another financial institution, so we wanted to be able to provide a high-quality option to those offered by the out-of-town banks. I’m pleased to say the result is this new Visa Platinum Rewards Card, with reward benefits that are second to none,” said Jim Norris, President and CEO of MC EFCU.

Notable features of the MC EFCU Visa Platinum Rewards Card:

  • A  low  variable rate for purchases, balance transfers and cash advances.
  • An even lower introductory rate of  on balance transfers and purchases, for the first 12 months.
  • No annual fee.
  • No balance transfer fees or cash advance fees.
  • Credit lines up to $30,000.
  • 2,500 immediate bonus points when a new card is opened.

MC EFCU selected PSCU as the processor for the new rewards card, based on the firm’s track record for value, quality member service, and efficiency in its administration of credit card programs.

Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union primarily serves Montgomery County government employees and recently expanded its charter to be able to serve additional public sector employees, retirees and family members from other Montgomery County agencies, including Montgomery County Public Schools and Montgomery College. MC EFCU also provides an opportunity for membership to individuals who are supporting members of the non-profit ARC of Montgomery County.
