Barack Obama

State of Union Address

President Obama’s State of the Union address is scheduled for today (Feb 12) at 9 p.m. The White House website has included ways to engage both before, during and after the address.

— Watch the President’s address tonight at 9:00 ET on WhiteHouse.gov/SOTU for an enhanced version of the speech that offers charts, facts and other info as the President speaks.

— Stay tuned after the speech for a special panel with administration officials and a live audience. Questions from both the audience and from followers online will be taken — you can ask your questions using the hashtag #WHChat on Twitter.

— After the speech Citizen Response will be launched. This is a brand new tool to give feedback by highlighting the parts of the President’s address that mean the most to you and sharing with your friends. Head to WhiteHouse.gov/SOTU when the speech is over to be a part of it.

— On Thursday, Feb 14, President Obama will join the latest in a series of “Fireside Hangouts” — a 21st century take on FDR’s famous radio addresses. The President will answer questions online from Americans across the country about the issues and policies laid out in the speech. Ask your question and find out how to watch.
