Police Investigate Shooting in Olney

Montgomery County detectives continue to investigate a shooting that occurred Monday, Jan 14 in Olney.

On January 14 at approximately 10:33 p.m., 4th District officers responded to the 3900 block of Morningwood Drive in Olney for the report of a shooting that had just occurred.

It was determined that three males were in a vehicle in the area of Morningwood Drive. For reasons still under investigation, one of the individuals in the vehicle was shot by another male in the vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Detectives believe that this incident may be drug-related.
