Pizza Hut Armed Robbery

Montgomery County detectives are asking for the public’s help to find the suspect responsible for a Dec. 26 armed robbery of a Pizza Hut, located in the 200 block of Muddy Branch Road in the Festival Shopping Center in Gaithersburg.

At approximately 1:43 p.m., police received a call from a woman who had called the Pizza Hut to order a pizza. When her call was answered she was told that the store was being robbed and she could hear someone demanding money, according to police.

Montgomery County police and Gaithersburg police officers arrived on the scene and confirmed that an armed robbery of the business had occurred. The investigation indicates that the suspect, armed with a gun, had obtained an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen fleeing the store on foot. No one was injured.

Police have released this suspect description: a Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a cap and dark jacket.
