Winter Weather Advisory (Photos)

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Montgomery County until 8 p.m. tonight (Dec. 24).

Sleet and snow are expected to fall over Montgomery County this afternoon with one to two inches of accumulation possible.

The primary area to see accumulating snow and sleet will be northern Montgomery County.

With light snow expected this afternoon and early evening, the State Highway Administration (SHA) is reminding motorists to drive with caution as you travel this Christmas Eve.

Some spots may be icy so “Take it Slow as You Go.” Crews will be out to make sure roads are safe and clear.

Use 511 to obtain the latest traveler information. Remember the basic rules of driving in winter weather–slow down, wear your seat belts and never pass snow plows.
