Keeping Busy & Always Thankful (Photos)

The smell of turkey is in the air at Montgomery Community Media (MCM), where the annual Thanksgiving luncheon was held on Nov. 15.

Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, rolls, salads, and a table full of desserts are the featured ingredients of this tradition at MCM that brings the staff together for food and camaraderie. The food was delicious, and judging from all the smiles, everyone enjoyed the festive decorations and planning that went into the mid-day get together before everyone headed back to their offices, edit bays and cubicles to get back to work.

Just an hour earlier, Montgomery Week in Review taped it latest show in our studios. And even earlier today, the Small Business Network held its monthly breakfast meeting at MCM’s offices. On Friday, Nov. 16, the “21 This Week” crew tapes its latest episode. This weekend, our volunteers and staff will be gathering at the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown to celebrate the Monty awards.

Meetings, production, training: There’s always something going on at MCM.

Did you know the MCT Board of Directors recently voted to revise the Board’s bylaws? This is the first, major, bylaws re-write since MCT’s founding 27 years ago. You can find a draft of the updated bylaws posted on our website right here.

We have also created a new Health page on the MyMCMedia website, where we hope you will visit often to find the latest Montgomery County health and wellness headlines. Next week, look for our new Healthy Montgomery show to debut on Montgomery Channel 21.

The MyMCMedia.org website is the place to go for Montgomery County events and happenings. We post new content daily: new photos, new videos, new blogs and events.

Tell us what you like and what you want to see more of on our website, as we are working to keep you informed about life in Montgomery County.

I am thankful for those who help me when I don’t know I need it, for those who love me when I’m not loving myself and the gift of family and friends.
