Early Voting Press Conference (Video)

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett joined members of the Montgomery County Board of Elections on Oct. 16 to urge registered voters to take advantage of early voting sites around the county. They also noted that sample ballots have been recently mailed to homes and that voters should review the ballot in advance of voting.

You can watch the press conference in its entirety right here.

Montgomery County will open five Early Voting Centers from October 27 through November 1, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Sunday hours noon – 6 p.m.) Voters are able to vote on the same voting equipment used on Election Day, but at a time that is more convenient and the weather may be warmer too.

Early Voting Centers are located at:

Bauer Drive Community Recreation Center, 14625 Bauer Drive, Rockville 20853
Germantown Recreation Center, 18905 Kingsview Road, Germantown 20874
Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center, 14906 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville 20866
Montgomery County Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville 20850
Silver Spring Civic Building, One Veteran’s Plaza, Silver Spring 20910

The Board of Elections mailed out Sample Ballots late last week to the homes of all registered voters in the county. Voters may experience lines during early voting and, most likely will experience times at their polling places on Election Day, particularly during peak hours — immediately before work (7-9 a.m.), during the lunch hour (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.), and immediately following work (5-7 p.m.). To facilitate the voting process, the Board of Elections encourages all voters to mark their sample ballot in advance of arriving at their polling place.
