Ride On Route Changes and Public Forum

Time and service changes occurred on 13 Ride On bus routes in the County effective September 9.

Improvements have been made to the following routes:

Route 10 – Ride On and Metrobus have worked together to provide a coordinated schedule along Randolph Rd. between New Hampshire Ave. and Parklawn Dr., Monday through Saturday. Together Ride On Route 10 and Metrobus C8 will provide trips approximately every 15 minutes. Riders are reminded that the C8 does not operate on Sundays, but Ride On Route 10 operates every 30 minutes on Sundays.

Route 21 One trip added in the morning to increase span of service and make travel time changes

Route 22- Schedule will change to better meet MARC trains

Route 25- The times between buses have been improved to 15 minutes to eliminate overcrowding

Route 37 – Morning schedule from Potomac towards Grosvenor has been changed to include an extra trip

Route 45 – More service between downtown Rockville and Twinbrook

Changes also have been made on some routes so schedules will more accurately reflect the actual travel times of the routes.

Weekday routes changing are: 10, 14, 18, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 37, 45, 47 and 58.

The forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude after the last speaker.

In order to serve areas that have been recently developed and to eliminate sections of routes that are under performing, Ride On has put forth changes to Ride On routes 38, 47, 52, 53, 58 and 98, plus Metrobus route Z2 operated on Saturdays by Ride On.

Public comment on the proposed changes will be accepted through 5 p.m. on October 1.

For more information about the proposed changes and the forum, read the public notice.
