Woodmont Avenue Closure (Video)
UPDATED
If you commute to the Bethesda area you don’t want to miss this transportation update about some upcoming road closures and parking changes.
A section of Woodmont Avenue will be temporarily closed on September 7 at 9 p.m. for about 20 months for the Woodmont Avenue – Bethesda Avenue parking lot redevelopment (the lot across from Barnes and Noble bookstore). When this project is complete, visitors to the downtown Bethesda area will find three times as many parking spaces.
Learn more about this redevelopment project, and where you can park during this construction, from Montgomery County’s DOT Community Relations Manager Tom Pogue in this video report.
The construction project is scheduled for completion in fall 2013. You can also learn more on the Bethesda Urban Partnership‘s website.
