In Battle of Undefeated Teams, Northwest Too Much for Sherwood
Northwest’s quest for an undefeated season continued Friday night with a 37-14 road win over Sherwood.
The Jaguars offense proved to be too much for the Warriors defense, largely due to their passing game. The combination of quarterback Patrick Doyle and receiver Devon Anderson proved too much for the Sherwood defense. The pair hooked up for three touchdown passes. Doyle threw four TD passes in all.
The Jaguars defense was stout once again, allowing only 14 points and put points on the board with a safety in the second quarter.
Northwest improved to 6-0, while Sherwood fell to 5-1.
Next up for the victorious Jags is a road game vs Seneca Valley Friday at 7 p.m. Sherwood will travel to Blair on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
