Airsoft Shooting Range Opens in Wheaton Mall

Battlestar, a sci-fi themed airsoft shooting range, recently opened inside Westfield Wheaton Mall.

Described as an airsoft entertainment zone, people shoot at small targets with battery powered guns that use plastic pellets.

The store has an open concept that allows mall-goers to watch Battlestar customers fire their guns from the front counter.

Locally, Wheaton is not the first mall to feature an airsoft range. In 2019, a similar concept, Aim Point, was opened at the Westfield Montgomery Mall.

However, shoppers there became concerned about having a shooting range in the mall.  Aim Point was closed after operating for a little over a month.

Westfield Wheaton Mall did not respond to MyMCMedia’s request for comments about the addition of Battlestar to their mall.
