Swarmageddon: Local Expert Answers Questions About Cicadas

By now, many residents have likely witnessed swarms of cicadas throughout Montgomery County. The amount of creepy crawlers you’ve seen – and heard – depends on what part of the county you reside.

MyMCM reached out to a local bug expert for answers to some basic questions about cicadas. Montgomery Parks Senior Natural Resources Specialist Jackie Hoban gave us the scoop on the Brood X mating process, when they peak, and why they’re so darn loud.
