‘Kane Show’ Host Peter Deibler Dies After Longtime Illness

Peter Deibler, who hosted the Hot 99.5 (WIHT) program “The Kane Show” from November 2006 through April 2020, died at Shady Grove Adventist Medical Center on March 6. He was 43.

The radio host—known to fans as “Kane”—died from a “long illness,” according to a statement from his representatives Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, P.A. The statement says he is survived by his two daughters Sam and Sophie.

Deibler was a resident of Montgomery County. It is unclear what kind of illness he was battling.

Hot 99.5 tweeted about Deibler’ death, writing, “Kane has been an important part of our iHeart family for years, from his early days at WFLZ, to his network of stations at HOT 99.5 + Club Kane. Please keep Kane’s family and girls in your thoughts and prayers.”
