Haskins Gets Second Chance with Pittsburgh Steelers

Dwayne Haskins has found a new home. The former Washington Football Team quarterback has agreed to one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Haskins was selected with the 15th pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ohio State where he threw 50 touchdown passes his sophomore (and final) season. The Bullis School alum had his ups and downs on and off the field in almost two full seasons with Washington. He broke COVID-19 protocols twice during the 2020 season. His second time, he was photographed at a party without wearing a mask. He started the next game but was released shortly thereafter on December 28.

Haskins, 23, will join a Steelers’ quarterback group headed by future Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger, 38 and Mason Rudolph, 25.

Haskins and Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin share the same agent, Brian Levy.

Steelers and former WFT QB Dwayne Haskins now have officially reached agreement on a one-year contract, per source.
