Two-Year-Old Child Who Fell From Third Floor Window in Takoma Park Dies

A two year old boy who fell from a third floor apartment building window Sunday has died, according to Takoma Park Police.

An investigation is continuing concerning the 1:30 p.m. Oct. 11 incident at the 700 block of Ethan Allen Avenue near New Hampshire Avenue. Takoma Park Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue went to the scene and the boy was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. County Fire and Rescue estimated in a tweet that the child fell about 40 feet to the ground.

“Our thoughts are with family and friends,” Takoma Park Police wrote in a statement.
