2020 General Election Montgomery County Board of Education
Montgomery County voters will elect three members to the Board of Education in the general election. The Board of Education seats are nonpartisan and all voters in the County vote on the three seats.
There are eight members of the board of education, two at-large, five district and one student member. The at large and district members are elected and serve for four years. The student member serves a one year term and is elected by students in grades six through 12.
This year the voters elect a member for the at-large, District 2 and District 4 seats.
The candidates for the at-large race include Sunil Dasgupta and Lynne Harris. The incumbent, Jeannette Dixon declined to seek election for a second term.
Michael Fryar and Rebecca Smondrowski (incumbent) seek a seat on the board for District 2.
Shebra Evans (incumbent) and Steve Solomon seek the District 4 seat.
